How were cartoons made before computers?
Before there were any computers, people had to draw cartoons by hand. They
had to make their own motion pictures with this special camera. It had a light and a little square cut out where they took pictures of fifty sheets of frames. That made one second of the film. If you spin it at the right speed you are able to
get a great motion picture.
If they messed up the drawing they would have to start all over again. Some of the people who wanted to get a perfect picture sometimes they would mess up on spinning the wheel and their motion pictures and they would come out really bad. So it was important they wouldn't mess up
